Safe & Reliable
Sonnen employs Lithium Iron Phosphate, the safest Lithium technology available (LFP or LiFePO4). Because of LFP's inherent safety qualities, sonnen has relied on LFP battery modules since the very first sonnenBatterie. The essential point is that the battery cells do not burn, making them an excellent and safe option for our domestic energy storage system.
Commercial & Residential
Flexible design, expandable in 2.5 kWh increments up to 15kWh. Should you ever require more power - for example, when you are running a business - multiple sonnenBatterie can be set up as a cascading cluster—thereby increasing the capacity and power of the sonnenBatterie up to a maximum of 45 kWh.

Retrofit
Any current solar system can be retrofitted with the SonnenBatterie. If you already have solar panels on your roof, a qualified installation can simply add the sonnenBatterie to complete your home energy system. The present solar panel and inverter installation will not need to be altered.
Warranty
All of sonnen's components come with a 10-year Full Warranty. Your investment is safe for the next ten years or 10,000 cycles, whichever comes first. All components of your sonnenBatterie are covered during the warranty period: the inverter, all power electronics, the energy manager, and the battery modules. The sonnenProtect is also covered by a 10-year warranty.
SonnenProtect
sonnenProtect is an optional accessory that can be installed with your sonnenBatterie to ensure power supply to dedicated circuits during a blackout. Blackouts can happen e.g. when extreme weather damages the network and electricity supply through the grid is interrupted.
Government Incentive
The Victorian Government will pay for half of your solar panel battery, up to $4,174. 1,000 households can take advantage of the rebate, to begin with, and the combined income of the household must be less than $180,000.
